    PRESIDENT KAUNDA OF ZAMBIA CALLED ON WEST GERMAN CHANCELLOR WILLY BRANDT TODAY (TUESDAY) TO PRESS HIS CLAIM FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 10 MILLION MARKS (ABOUT 1,140,000 POUNDS) PLEDGED BY BONN IN 1966. SO FAR ONLY A THIRD OF THE MONEY HAS BEEN TAPPED.

    MR. KAUNDA IS HOPEFUL OF BEING GIVEN A DATE FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE GRANT WHICH THE WEST GERMAN GOVERNMENT MADE AVAILABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT.

    THE ZAMBIAN LEADER'S MEETING WITH MR. BRANDT CAME AFTER HE HAD HELD LONG TALKS WITH ECONOMIC HEADS IN BONN. COMMENTING ON THE PURPOSE OF THE PRESIDENT'S VISIT THE ZAMBIAN AMBASSADOR TO WEST GERMANY, MR. SIKASULA, SAID HIS COUNTRY WAS HOPING FOR MORE INTENSIVE TECHNICAL AND CAPITAL AID FROM BONN.

    DURING HIS TEN DAY TOUR OF WEST GERMANY, PRESIDENT KAUNDA WILL HAVE LONG TALKS WITH GOVERNMENT LEADERS AND VISIT A NUMBER OF CITIES.
