    The first orphanage to be built by the British and Canadian "Save the Children" organization, was opened Nov. 21, at Helliniko, near Athens, by Princess Irene of Greece. On behalf of her mother, Queen Frederika, Princess Irene officially received the Orphanage, from Canadian Ambassador to Greece, Mr. McGreer and British Charge d'Affaires, Mr. Curle.

    Helped by money from Queen Frederika's own funds, the Organization has not only built, but will finance the new orphanage. Fifty youngsters from needy families will be housed there.

    Experienced teachers will look after the girls and boys during meal, recreation and lesson times.
