    THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, MR HAROLD WILSON, LANDED AT NAIROBI AIRPORT, KENYA YESTERDAY (MONDAY) ON HIS WAY TO SALISBURY FOR TALKS WITH MR IAN SMITH ON THE RHODESIAN SITUATION. HE WAS MET AT THE AIRPORT BY KENYA'S PRESIDENT, MR KENYATTA.

    MR WILSON AND MR KENYATTA TALKED FOR OVER AN HOUR IN NAIROBI ABOUT THE RHODESIAN SITUATION. AFTERWARDS MR WILSON DESCRIBED THEIR TALKS AS BEING "FRANK AND FRUITFUL".

    MR WILSON HAD JUST FLOWN FROM CYPRUS WHERE HE HAD STAYED OVERNIGHT AT THE BRITISH BASE AT AKROTIRI, HIS STAY IN CYPRUS WAS MARKED BY LITTLE OFFICIAL CEREMONY WITH NO GUARD OF HONOUR AND NO WELCOMING CROWDS. NEWSMEN WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES ONLY OF THE PRIME MINISTERS ARRIVAL WITH HIS ENTOURAGE OF FIFTY ADVISERS, OFFICIALS AND SECRETARIES.
