    Three American engineers who have been helping in the establishment of Ghana's Aluminium smelting industry visited Lieutenant-General Joseph Ankrah chairman of the N.L.C. before leaving Ghana on Thursday.

    The engineers, Mr. M.L. Altar, Mr. M.A. McCrodden, and Mr. J.K. Taylor, expressed their appreciation for the co-operation which they had enjoyed in Ghana.

    They mentioned the considerable assistance they had received from the Tema Development Corporation, the T.U.C. and the Ghanaian workers who, they said, had proved equal to the task of establishing the smelter in the country.

    General Ankrah thanked the engineers and expressed his personal appreciation and that of his colleagues for the rapid progress that had been made.

    Also at the meeting, which took place at Christiansborg Castle - seat of government and the residence of General Ankrah was Mr. W.K. Harlley, Inspector General of Police and Vice-Chairman of the N.L.C.
