Background: Sir Winston and Lady Churchill, on a holiday cruise through the Mediterranean aboard the luxury yacht "Christina" owned by Greek shipping magnate, Aristotelis Onassis, arrived July 31 at Rhodes Island in the Aegean.
Accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Saniya, opera singer, Mme. Maria Callas and her husband, Signor Menenghini, the Churchills visited some beauty spots on Rhoies Island - southernmost island in the Aegean Archipelago. At Miramare beach, Mrs. Onassis and Mrs. Sandys sunbathed.
The white-painted "Christina" remained in Rhodec two days before sailing to the islands of Mykonos, Delos Chios and a tour round Mount Athos.
The Churchills are due to return to Monte Carlo Aug. 13 where the British elder statesman will get down to some more painting - his favourite hobby.
