    On Monday (August 10) cosmonauts Vladimir Lyakhov and Valery Ryumin told a press conference in Moscow about their 175-day space flight and experiments and observations they conducted aboard the scientific research complex Salyut 6 - Soyuz. They also discussed the medical problems involved in a prolonged stay in weightlessness.

    Commander of the crew Colonel Vladimir Lyakhov said that the mission was successful because there was a good deal of experience of the two previous prolonged missions.

    He said that their life schedule had a 24-hour circle coordinated with Moscow time. As average, 35 per cent of all time was dedicated to professional activity, and the rest - for rest, sleeping etc.

    He also admitted that their work might had been impossible if there were no the assistance by many people on Earth.

    Valery Ryumin told news men mainly about scientific experiments made on the orbit.

    He said that of great use were cargo ships. They helped to modernize the space laboratory with new equipment.
