Background: Moose are normally timid animals but with a deep snow and temperatures of 60 degrees (Fahrenheit) below zero in Alaska starvation is driving many of the deer into towns like Fairbanks. Some residents are feeding them but it is feared that half of the area's moose may die before the warmer weather comes. In addition, they are creating problems for the residents and many of the deer have been involved in road accidents. A wildlife story with a different angle.
