Background: The Rest of the World clinched a dramatic two-wicket victory against England in the fourth cricket test at Leeds today (Tuesday). The Rest of the World team secured a 3-I lead in the five match series with today's win.
Besides taking the 2,000 pounds sterling prize for the match, the Rest also collected the 3,000 pounds sterling cheque for winning the series.
The Rest were set a victory target of 223 after resuming today at 75 for five. The rest's skipper Gary Sobers and team-mate Intikhab Alam advanced steadily towards victory but just before lunch the match took a dramatic turn when both Sobers (59) and Intikhab (54) were dismissed. Then immediately after the break Rohan Kanhai was out for four, making the score 183 for eight.
However Richards and Proctor carried the rest to victory with an unbroken ninth wicket stand of 43. At the close the Rest were 226 for eight with Richards 21 and Proctor 22.
