Background: Venice, Italy, March 15, and a fashion snow held on the Italian liner "Vulcania". Italian manufacturers, merchants and dress designers are co-operating in a joint campaign to boost linen fabrics.

The idea is to demonstrate the versatility of linen for all kinds of dresses, but particularly for summer wear. Promoters and models alike are cruising in the "Vulcania" to show their fashions all round Italy - in Naples, Palermo, Genoa, and other Mediterranean ports.

There are dresses for every hour of the day and also for evening wear, but of particular interest are knitted materials made from linen.
