    WORKING WITH MILITARY PRECISION THE GUNMEN DROVE UP TO BOUC-CABRIES STATION, NINE MILES (15 KMS) NORTH OF MARSEILLES, AND OVERPOWERED TWO STATION OFFICIALS ON DUTY.

    POLICE SAID THEY THEN CUT THE STATION'S TELEPHONE WIRES, USED THE TRACK SIGNALS TO BRING THE ONE-COACH TRAIN TO HALT JUST OUTSIDE THE STATION AN IMMEDIATELY OPENED FIRE WITH THEIR SUBMACHINE GUNS.

    THREE GUARDS ON THE TRAIN WEE WOUNDED, TWO SERIOUSLY.

    THE TRAIN WAS ON ITS WAY FROM MARSEILLES TO ???-EN-PROVINCE, 19 MILES (30 KMS) AWAY.

    THE 185,000 FRANCS REPRESENTED QUARTERLY PENSIONS PAID BY THE FRENCH RAILWAYS TO FORMER EMPLOYEES. NONE OF THE TRAIN'S PASSENGERS WAS INJURED.
