Background: The Ma'arach (Labour) Knesset faction met at the Knesset building, to decide on whether to present a "no confidence" motion in the course of today's political discussion. Much will depend on whether Yadin's DMC will abstain or vote with the Likud.- The political debate in the Knesset follows yesterday's answers by the Israeli cabinet to the USA. After a meeting between Israel's FM and US Ambassador Lewis at the FM this morning, Lewis maintained that the meaning of the cabinet resolutions has been made much clearer during his talks with Dayan.- Following the faction meeting, Labour leader Shimon Peres said as on film. Up in their conference room Yadin briefed the DMC faction on the cabinet meeting and they are likely to abstain during the vote in the Knesset. Labour decided not to press for a non-confidence motion in order not to force DMC to vote with the govt.
