THE QUEEN AND THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH ALSO VISITED NYMPHENBURG PARK AND TOURED THE CELEBRATED PORCELAIN FACTORY IN THE FORECOURT OF THE PALACE.

    THE QUEEN DROVE PAST THOUSANDS OF CHEERING BAVARIANS WHEN SHE DROVE TO THE CASTLE IN AN OPEN CAR. THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN CHANTED "ELIZABETH, ELIZABETH" UNDER THE CASTLE WINDOWS WHILE THE QUEEN AND THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH HAD TEA INSIDE WITH DUKE ALBRECHT OF BAVARIA.

    WHEN THE QUEEN APPEARED ON THE CASTLE STEPS THE ROAR THAT WENT UP WAS THE GREATEST OF THE TOUR. IT CAME FROM AN ESTIMATED 100,000 PEOPLE.

    QUEEN ELIZABETH VISITED THE BEAUTIFUL AMALIENBURG PAVILION IN THE NYMPHENBURG PARK, A HUNTING LODGE BUILT BY FRANCIS CUVILLIES THE ELDER IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY.

    THEN THE QUEEN AND THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH WATCHED A DRESSAGE DISPLAY GIVEN BY THE GERMAN RIDING TEAM THAT TOOK PART IN THE TOKYO OLYMPIC GAMES. AFTERWARDS THE RIDERS WERE PRESENTED TO THE QUEEN.

    THE QUEEN ALSO VISITED THE PORCELAIN FACTORY WHICH, BUILT ON ORDERS FROM THE ELECTOR MAX JOSEPH IN 1761, HAS BEEN IN THE HANDS OF THE BAUML FAMILY FOR THE LAST 77 YEARS. SHE WAS GIVEN A BEAKER VASE FROM THE "PERL" SERVICE DESIGNED IN 1786-95.
