  • Description

An Israeli military Court sitting in Lydda on Thursday sentenced two young Moroccan sisters and a German-born girl to between ten and fourteen years in jail.

    Twenty-one year-old Evelyn Barj received 14 years, 26 year-old Nadia Bashir-Bardali on Morocco 12 years, and her 21 year-old sister Marlene 10 years.

The three young women were arrested in April on their arrival in Israel carrying explosives, detonators and timing devices hidden in their clothing.

They pleaded guilty to the charges against them, and admitted in court they had planned to blow up 12 Israeli hotels in Tel Aviv and Haifa on a mission for the El Fatah Organisation, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
