THE +ARRESTED+ VESSELS WITH 300 MEN AND WOMEN ABOARD, ARE UNDER THE EYES OF ARMED COAST GUARDSMEN ON BOARD THE VESSELS AT ADAK. US ATTORNEY KENT EDWARDS SAID AT ANCHORAGE HE WOULD ALSO FILE CIVIL COMPLAINTS ASKING THAT THE TWO SOVIET SHIPS BE CONFISCATED ALONG WITH THEIR GEAR AND CARGO.O THE VESSELS ARE PART OF THE RUSSIANS'S BERING SEA FLEET. CONVICTION ON THE CRIMINAL CHARGES COULD RESULT IN A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF A YEAR IN JAIL AND A FINE OF NONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR EACH. THE IMPOUNDED VESSELS ARE THE FISH PROCESSING SHIP LAMUT AND THE TRAWLER KOLYVA. THEY WERE SEIZED MONDAY JANUARY 17TH.
