Background: VISNEWS filmed June 3 at the Geneva villa of the German Consul-General, as the three Western Foreign Ministers enjoyed a break from the "Little Summit" at a dinner given by West Germany's Foreign Minister, Herr Von Brentano.
The dinner followed private discussions of the Western Ministers with Russia's Gromyko during the afternoon - a restricted session with little progress made.
Following day (June 4) the Big Four met twice - but the outcome was still a "deadlock on the Berlin problem. Gromyko's proposal that the Western troops in Berlin should lose their "occupation status" and be replaced by "token" troops, including Russian, is unacceptable to the West, who still insist tat there can be no change in the original basis for their presence in West Berlin so long as Germany remains divided.
A full session of the Ministers was scheduled for June 5 - but plans for the weekend are not yet announced.
Headed by Herr Grotewhol, East German Premier, a strong East German mission will go from Berlin to Moscow on Monday (June 8) - at the invitation of Khruschev. Gromyko will not, as has been rumoured, break off Geneva talks to meet the Russian leader at the same time.
