Background: Visnews was at the Cologne/Bonn civil airport at 10.30 on May 6th. to see the arrival of M. Debre, French Prime Minister.

He was welcomed by Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and West German Foreign Minister Herr von Brentano, on this Debre's first visit to West Germany.

M. Debre was accompanied by French Foreign Minister M. Couve de Murville.

Both had come to discuss the question of Germany and West Berlin with Chancellor Adenauer, in anticipation of the Foreign Minister's 'prepare for the Summit' talks to be held in Geneva later this month.

American Foreign Secretary Herter is expected in Bonn later this week.
