    THERE, HE VISITED A TEXTILE FACTORY AND, AT A COLOURFUL CEREMONY, WAS CROWNED KING OF THE BOUALES TRIBE.

    BOUAKE IS THE CAPITAL OF THE CENTRAL PROVINCE OF IVORY COAST, AND PRESIDENT NYERERE WAS THERE ON SUNDAY. WHEN HE ENTERED THE TOWN, HE WAS GREETED BY THE MAYOR, WHO PRESENTED HIM WITH THE KEYS OF THE COMMUNITY.

    LATER, THE VISITING PRESIDENT WAS GIVEN A STAFF OF OFFICE AND CROWNED KING OF THE BOUALES.

    PRESIDENT NYERERE STAYED OVERNIGHT IN THE CITY. THE FOLLOWING DAY, HE PAID A VISIT TO A CIVIL SERVICE SCHOOL IN THE VICINITY BEFORE RETURNING TO ABIDJAN FOR PRIVATE TALKS WITH PRESIDENT FELIX HOUPHOUET BOIGNY.
