Background: MCC started batting this morning with the overnight score of 17 for no loss. Both sides had good chances of victory. The game was indeed very dull till the end except at the time when after the first wicket fell two quick wickets followed. This is the only time when there was some life in the game. Later they were playing out and the match ended in a draw. After lunch the spectators started drifting away one by one and towards the end there were many who had left.
