    Background: Victims of the terrorist attack at Tel Aviv airport were buried in San Juan on Tuesday (June 6) after being flown home from Israel.

    The 16 Puerto Ricans had been mainly protestant Pilgrims to The Holy Land, and were among the 27 killed and 80 injured when three members of an Arab-inspired Japanese suicide squad stormed the airport with grenades and rifles.

    There were tearful scenes as hundreds of distraught relatives watched a U.S. Air Force plane arrive from Israel with the coffin.

    Thousands more lined the streets of San Jun to watch the funeral procession on its way to The United Evangelical Church of Rio Piedras, where most of the victims had been worshippers.

    The burial service was delayed for nearly two hours as mourners thronged around the coffins in the church interior.
