U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy continues his Latin American tour. After being assailed by leftist students in Chile, he has met with enthusiastic receptions everywhere else. On Friday (19 Nov.) he was warmly received in Buenos Aires.
Large crowds greeted the Senator everywhere he went. Outside the Plaza Hotel, where he was to give a news conference, the Senator's car was impeded by the crowds. He had to get up on top of the car and address them.
In the Argentine National Congress, Mr. Kennedy was received by the senators and presented with a book by the Vice President of Argentina.
(Mr. Kennedy had let it be known that throughout his trip, he has been on touch with officials of the Democratic Party in his home state of New York. He had indicated to friends that he is moving to assume the personal leadership of New York State's Democratic Mayor, Robert Wagner. If Mr. Kennedy is successful, he will control the largest Democratic Party organization in the United States. This in turn would increase his influence markedly in the national party organization.)
