    FOREIGN MINISTERS FROM MORE THAN 50 NATIONS MEET IN THE TANZANIAN CAPITAL OF DAR ES SALAAM THIS WEEK TO DECIDE ON A VENUE FOR THIS YEAR'S CONFERENCE OF NON-ALIGNED NATIONS. AMONG THE EARLY ARRIVALS FOR THE CONFERENCE WERE DELEGATIONS FROM ALGERIA, CYPRUS, ETHIOPIA, GHANA, SOMALI, SUDAN, SYRIA, YUGOSLAVIA AND ZAMBIA.

    ON HAND TO GREET THE EARLY ARRIVALS IN DAR ES SALAAM WAS THAT COUNTRY'S MINISTER FOR COMMERCE AND INDUSTRIES, MR. BABU. THE FLAGS OF ALL NATIONS TAKING PART IN THE PRELIMINARY TALKS WILL FLY AT THE AIRPORT THROUGHOUT THE PROCEEDINGS.

    THE VENUE FOR THE TALKS IS THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE JUST OUTSIDE DAR ES SALAAM. THE DELEGATES WILL START THEIR DISCUSSIONS TOMORROW AND THEY'LL FINISH ON FRIDAY.

    HOWEVER, THE REAL TALKING WILL COME LATER IN THE YEAR WHEN THE NATIONS HAVE DECIDED ON A SITE. BELGRADE, NEW DELHI OR ADDIS ABABA ARE LIKELY TO BE CONSIDERED.

    OBSERVERS BELIEVES THAT A CONCENTRATED ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO MUSTER THE NATIONS INTO A "THIRD FORCE" CAPABLE OF PRESENTING A UNITED FRONT AT THE NEXT UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND BREAK THE DOMINATION OF THE TWO MAJOR WORLD POWERS.
