    Mr. Nissim Yosha, Israeli Ambassador to the Ivory Coast, presented diplomas to fifteen African students in Abidjan on Saturday (October 13th), after they had completed their training in Israel at the Mount Carmel International Training Centre for Community Service. the students were from seven African countries, some of whom have recently broken off diplomatic relations with Israel.

    The students had completed three months of training in Israel and ten days practical experience in the Ivory Coast. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Rifka Horovitz, who has monitored the students' progress, Monsieur Doudou Piot, the Ivorean Minister for Youth, and other African officials. The students were from seven African countries - Ivory Coast, Gabon, Upper Volta, Malagasay Republic, Central African Republic, Rwanda and Togo.

    In his presentation speech, Mr. Yosha said that they had planned a larger ceremony but the but break of Israel's war with Egypt and Syria had curtailed this. Upper Volta and Rwanda have broken off diplomatic relations with Israel since the outbreak of the war on October 6th. Togo, which had broken off diplomatic relations before, had strongly condemned Israel.
