Background: Prince Philip of England has begun a tour of Mexico that will take him to Mexico City, Guadalajara and Acapulco.
But before he started his Mexican trip Wednesday (October 21) the Prince paid a brief visit to Nassau in the Bahamas, arriving there aboard the royal yacht Britannia on Tuesday (20 October).
Nassau dignitaries turned out in force to greet the Queen's husband. Local students staged a gymnastic exhibition for him and crowds were on hand to bid him welcome.
The Prince flew to Mexico City from Nassau. His plans call for a stay in the Mexican capital until Monday (26 October) when he will fly to Guadalajara. He will fly from Guadalajara on Wednesday (28 October) to Acapulco, staying there until Thursday (29 October) when he will leave aboard the Britannia.
