    President Sadat of Egypt and President Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire began a round of talks in Cairo on Sunday (17th February).

    The Zaire leader was in Cairo during a tour of the middle East. He travelled to Cairo from Kuwait, and was expected to spend a week in Egypt.

    Sources said the main topic of the talks between the two leaders was the situation in the Middle East. It's believed that the talks also dealt with joint Arab-African attitudes and issues of mutual interest in political and economic fields.

    The two men also covered bilateral relations in political, economic and technical spheres. They decided that economic experts from both countries would meet to consider means of strengthening relations.
