    President Mobutu Sese Seko headed the celebrations of the 7th Anniversary of the 2nd Republic at a rally in Kinshasa on Monday (November 27). Among the many Heads of State and leading international personalities attending the commemorations were Prince Albert of Liege (Representing King Baudouin of Belgium), and Presidents Julius Nyarara of Tanzania, Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia, Ahmadou Ahidjo of Cameroun, Marien Ngouabi of the Congo and Francisco Macias Nguema of Equatorial Guinea.

    The rally was held a the "20th of May" Stadium, and an estimated 150,000 people were present. During the course of the celebrations, President Mobutu announced his Government's latest foreign policy decisions - including the recognition of the Chinese Government in Peking; and Zaire's support of the two Germany's being accepted by the United Nations.
