Background: The Munich policeman who died in the gun-battle massacre of Fueratenfeldbruck Airfield earlier this week...when a group of Arab guerrillas was attempting to flee West Germany with Israeli hostages taken from the Olympic Village....was buried with full honours at Waldfriedhef on Friday (8 Sept). The 30-year-old policeman, Anton Fleignbauer, was referred to as a great and unselfish officer during the funeral oration. Hundreds of Munich policeman paraded at the cemetery, where many German Federal and Bavarian officials, and Olympic representatives, also paid their last respects.
