    Leading Indian free style wrestlers including the world champion, Mr. Cara Singh, participated in the programme which was organised by Mr. A???jun Das, a member of the Metropolitan Council of Delhi.

    Among the guests watching the wrestling was Mr. Sanjay Gandhi, son of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the Indian Prime Minister. Mr. Gandhi has been active in campaigning for the family planning movement and in recent tours has been calling for a halt to the population explosion in India.

    The main bout of the day was between Dara Singh and a Canadian, wild Bill. It was won by Dara Singh who used an Indian "death lock" to force Wild Bill into unconsciousness.

    SYNOPSIS: Placards advertising the family planning movement in the Indian capital of New Delhi at a function to promote the movement. Among those present was Mr. Sanjay Gandhi, son of Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

    But instead of the normal speeches, the guests were entertained by a series of free style wrestling matches featuring some of India's top wrestlers. These included Dara Singh, the world wrestling champion.

    The programme was organised by Mr. Arjun Das, a member of the Metropolitan Council of Delhi. Mr. Gandhi was present as an active campaigner for family planning. Recently he's been touring India calling for a halt to the population explosion.

    The main bout of the programme was a match between Dara Singh and Canadian wrestler, Wild Bill.

    It's one of many methods being used to advertise family planning.
