Apart from its graceful overall appearance, the most noticeable characteristic in the small 'pusher' propeller housed in the tail assembly. This is powered by a Porsche 'flat-four' cylinder engine of modest power which gives a consumption in economical cruising flight of 24 gallons per hour. With a maximum speed of around 125 mph, the RF3, as it is called, has a range of 600 miles. With wing extensions, the plane can be converted into power/glider-ideal for training purposes. All metal construction and weatherproof plastics afford a smooth surface and offer protection against bad weather in all climates. The RF3 is equipped with tricycle lending gear which is fully retractable and independent brakes, separated by cables.
