    A GIANT BEVERLY FREIGHTER OF NO. 34 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE, LEFT SINGAPORE ON NOVEMBER 16 ON A MERCY MISSION TO FLOOD-DEVASTATED CENTRAL VIETNAM.

    IN THE AIRCRAFT WERE 10 TONS OF SUPPLIES DONATED TO THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT AND THE SAVE THE CHILDREN FUND, DESTINED FOR VICTIMS OF FLOODING IN CENTRAL VIETNAM.

    THE GIFTS WERE: 7,900 BLANKETS, 18,144 YARDS OF WHITE CALICO, AND 13,000 YARDS OF BLACK POPLIN. THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE MINISTRY OF SOCIAL AFFAIRS, AS MANY FLOOD VICTIMS HAVE LOST NOT ONLY BEDDING AND OTHER PERSONAL BELONGINGS, BUT ALSO ALL THEIR CLOTHING.
