    The lighting of the Olympic Flame for the XIth Olympic Games of Sapporo Japan, was celebrated it is time at Ancient Olympic, instead of Mount Olympus, as usual. The Flame, lit at the Sarad Altis (Altar) of Ancient Olympia by a concave mirror through Attica's sun rays, was carries in procession by a team of priestesses to Baron de Coubertin's Grove. Following touching ceremony and in presence of many officials and the Japanese and Greek Olympic committees, the Kigh Priestess has handed over the Flame to the first torch-bearer athlete, who carried it away. The Flame will be transported by car to Athens from where, on Wednesday December 29th, following a ceremony at the all-marble Athens Stadium, will be taken to Athens airport for being flown to Japan.
