    Colonel Ignatiue Acheampong, Ghana's head of State, received the credentials of two new envoys on Friday, (September 29)
    He told Mrs Isabel Ursula Teshea, the new High Commissioner from Trinidad Tabago, that he hoped their countries would give maximum encouragement to anti-colonial struggles and to the elimination of minority regimes in Africa.

    The Ghanaian leader called on developing countries to work towards realistic and equitable trade terms to help narrow the gap between them and developed nations.

    Mrs Teshea, based in Addis Ababa, is also her country's envoy to Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Egypt and Senegal.

    Speaking the same day at a ceremony at which he received the credentials of Mr ks Hua, new Ambassador from the People's Republic of China, Colonel Acheampong said he hoped that he friendship and solidarity between their countries would be translated into concrete forms of co-operation.

    He said Ghana was deeply grateful for the warm reception recently accorded to a goodwill mission to the Peoples Republic.

    Ghana and the People's Republic of China only recently resumed diplomatic relations, after a break of six years following the overthrow of former President Kwame Nkrumah in February, 1966.

    Also on Friday a new Ambassador from The People's Republic of China, Mr Ks Hua, presented his credentials to the Ghanaian Head of State.

    Colonel Acheampong said he hoped that with goodwill on both sides the friendship and solidarity between their two countries would be translated into concrete forms of co-operation.

    Colonel Acheampong said Ghana was deeply grateful for the warm reception recently accorded to a goodwill mission sent to the People's Republic.

    Diplomatic relations between ghana and the People's Republic of China have only recently been resu???ed after a break of six years following the overthrow of Ghana former president, Kwame Nkrumah.
