Background: Saudi Arabia's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Al Sayed Omar Al-Sakkaf, arrived in Tunisia on Friday (16 November) for talks with the Tunisian Head of State, President Bourguiba.
The meeting took place at the Skanes Place, 112 miles (180 kms.) south of the capital city, Tunis. Arab sources have indicated that while the forthcoming Arab summit conference, to be held in Algiers on November 24, was on the agenda, oil was not.
After the talks ended, the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister said he was "very pleased with that President Bouguiba said - because he inspires so much optimism in the future of the Arab nation."
Mr. Al-Sakkaf left Tunis on Saturday (17 November), bound for the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
