    PRINCE SIHANOUK, WEARING TRADITIONAL CAMBODIAN DRESS, FIRST LIT A FLAME, AND THEN PLACED A WREATH ON A DRAPED COFFIN WHICH REPRESENTS THE UNKNOWN CAMBODIAN SOLDIER WHO HAS DIED FOR HIS COUNTRY - IN ANY WAR AT ANY TIME.

    MEANWHILE, THE MONKS WAIT FOR THEIR TURN TO PARTICIPATE.

    OUTSIDE THE PAVILION, PRINCE SIHANOUK BEGINS THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE FOOD.

    AS THEY EAT, THE MONKS PRAY THAT THE SOULS OF THOSE KILLED IN BATTLE WILL REST IN PEACE, AND THAT THERE WILL BE PEACE IN CAMBODIA. THEY PRAY FOR HAPPINESS FOR PRINCE SIHANOUK AND HIS FAMILY AND SUCCESS IN HIS DEALINGS ON BEHALF OF CAMBODIA.

    ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE BAREFOOT FOR THIS CEREMONY.
