    President Leopold-Sedar Senghor of Senegal, performed the opening ceremony at a Tunisian centre in Dakar on Thursday (March 11) which was attended by the Tunisian Minster of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Masmoudi. The Tunisian diplomat was on a three day visit for co-operation talks with the Senegalese Government.

    The centre displays a wide variety of Tunisian art and crafts.

    SYNOPSIS: The opening of a Tunisian centre in Dakar last Thursday coincided with a visit to Senegal by the Tunisian Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamed Masmoudi. Senegal leader, President Leopold-Sedar Senghor performed the official opening. Members of the Tunisian party were present.

    The opening of the centre shows the growing co-operation and friendship between Senegal and Tunisia. The major reason for Tunisian Foreign Minister's visit was for talks to build on this and to increase trade between the two countries. A wide variety of Tunisian goods were on display at the centre. When leaving Senegal, Mr. Masmoudi said that the two countries had agreed to promote commercial exchanges and visits by delegations on all levels.
