    MR. LEE IS TO HAVE TALKS WITH PRIME MINISTER HAROLD WILSON TOMORROW ON BRITAIN'S PLANS TO SPEED ITS MILITARY WITHDRAWAL FROM THE FAR EAST. THE SINGAPORE LEADER HAS PROTESTED AGAINST THE PLANS, WITH BACKING FROM AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.

    IN AN AIRPORT INTERVIEW, MR. LEE WAS ASKED IF HE PLANNED TO FORCE A SHOWDOWN OVER THE QUESTION.
