    THE MASS RALLY IS THE CULMINATION OF A FOUR-DAY CONFERENCE OF THE EIGHT "WORLD CONVENTION AGAINST ATOMIC AND HYDROGEN BOMBS".

    REPRESENTATIVES FOR FOREIGN COUNTRIES INCLUDING USSR AND USA ATTENDED THE CONFERENCE.

    CHAIRMAN OF THE JAPAN COUNCIL OF THE CONVENTION MR. KAHORU YASUI ADDRESSED THE RALLY AND INTRODUCED TO THE PEOPLE TWO FOREIGN DELEGATES WHO WALKED THROUGH JAPAN FOR TWO WEEKS RECRUITING PEOPLE FOR THE MOVEMENT.

    AMONG THE CROWD IN THE RALLY WAS THE FATHER OF MISS SHIMEKO YAMADA WHO WAS KILLED BY THE ATOMIC BOMB ON AUGUST 7, 1945 WHEN SHE WAS 18 YEARS OLD.
