TRANSCRIPT: "Now we're going to see some of the members of the Alberta girls' team on the uneven parallel bars. You're watching Carol Dianne Johnson, she's fourteen-years of age, from Calgary and as one of her instructors said earlier today she's handicapped but she's not. As you can see she does it all on these uneven parallel bars with one arm. And as a very young child she would not be discouraged. Her parents weren't sure that gymnastics would be the best thing for her in the way of physical activity but she was determined to excel in the sport and she has. And we're told that the uneven bars are not her speciality, she's even better on the floor exercises and on the beams. Here she is, number four forty-three Carol Dianne Johnson of Calgary."

Background: Carol Johnson from Calgary, in Canada is a 14 year-old gymnast who admits she has a problem -- she is too short to reach the uneven parallel bars.

She also has one arm, but -- as one of her instructors says -- she is handicapped yet not handicapped.

She competed in the Canadian winter games last week and impressed the crowd with her style on the bars.

Carol -- who was born without a lower right arm -- does even better in floor exercises and on the beam.
