The world's largest-ever oil platform started its sea journey from Stavanger, Norway to its new site in the North Sea, on Sunday (3 August)
Five tugs with a combined 70,000 horsepower strength will tow the platform in the 10-day voyage.

It will be installed in the Brent oil fields, about 112 miles (180 kilometres) north-east of the Scotland Islands.

The Condeep concrete platform stands some 420 feet (128 metres) high and cost over 100 million pounds sterling to built.

When in full production the rig will produce about 25 million tons of oil annually.

Forty-four men are currently on board the platform to handle its sea journey.
