Background: Mr Roy Mason.Minister of State (Shipping) at the Board of Trade is on a two day visit to Northern Ireland. His first engagement was at the Customs House, Belfast, where he met the N.I.District committee of the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Union. While the meeting was in progress almost 300 Draughtsmen for Harland and Wolff who have been on strike for over a week due to the dismissal of a shop steward, paraded outside the Custom House in a demonstration against British orders for Japan.Due to Mr Mason's meeting running overtime the demonstration had to move off on a parade the time of which had already been arranged with the Police.
