  • Description

Police in Stockholm, Sweden, have recently approved a machine designed to indicate how much alcohol it is safe to drink before driving a car.

Motorists causing accidents after drinking more than is good for them will no longer be able to plead that they thought they were sober, as the new safety device is shortly to be installed in many Stockholm bars and restaurants.

After inserting a coin, you merely have to twist various control buttons - registering among other things your age and weight - to find out whether you have drunk too much and should take a taxi home. The machine also tells you when you will be sober again.
