PELED: Well the fact is that at Hebron I was under curfew, and nobody is allowed to bring food into the city. A city with 60-70,000 people cannot exist without constant shipment of food convoy to the city was stopped by the military government and the people are starved. And I believe they are starved, you know, to punish them collectively, and it will bring about, hopefully for those who are responsible for that policy, and exodus of Palestinians from the West Bank.

I feel that some of the orders given to our troops to carry out those actions against property and against people are bordering on an illegality, and therefore, we maybe approaching the point where for our troops to fulfil their order will be to commit an offence against the law. We categorically demand the resignation of the military governor of the West Bank and the military governor of the city of Hebron
