GIRL STUDENT: "These things have been brought out before in the media in the United States. Before President Carter was always saying: "The hostages have bad treatment," that: "The hostages are punished,"that:"The hostages are not allowed to talk back", that: "They're in bad situations". Yes, these are things that Carter says only to deviate the thoughts of the American people...and the thoughts of all the people of the world.
Because, so that it doesn't become clear why we're keeping hostages. So, it doesn't become clear who the Shah is, what he has done in this country, how many people he has killed, how he has ruined the country, and what the connection of all this is with the United States. And the Shah himself has said that,if he is put on trial, then all the Presidents of the United States of his time must also be put on trial, because they give him orders. If the truth and realities become clear, this is not to the benefit of Mr Carter. It is not to the benefit and profit of the system of Imperialism. They claim they want the American people to have the news. But they do not allow the letters of the hostages to reach their families. So we found another method, we gave it to the Indian leader who came here to take part in the liberation movement. And when they saw the news again passing through, Carter plots again. He spread rumours, only to deviates the just demand of our deprived people. What has happened in Iran exposes the dirty nature of the United States. And it exposes the reality of what happened.
GIRL STUDENT: "The future of the hostages: This is, as we've said before if the United States government returns the Shah and the property of the Iranian people, the hostages will all be freed, and forgiven. If not, it will be decided to try the hostage. And, just as it is clear all during our revolution, Imam khomeini is the reflection of the demands of the messes of the people. And his decision about the trial is the decision of the people, and the decision of the Moslem students following (indistinct)".

Background: In Iran.....students holding fifty hostages from the United States Embassy have claimed that almost all the United States press corps were expelled because they didn't report what was really happening. Iran's ruling Revolutionary Council decided to throw out the newsmen, claiming that the eighty-nine strong contingent was obsessed with the occupation of the embassy and the hostages.
SYNOPSIS: Since the occupation began eleven weeks ago, these scenes have become a familiar sight on television screens around the world.
But the students inside say the coverage of the occupation has confused the true picture.
They claim their grievances have had no proper Hearing, and their reasons for holding the hostages have not been told to the United States people.
Then the students were asked about the hostage. They reaffirmed earlier statements: The hostages would face trial unless the deposed Shah was returned to face judgement for what they say are his crimes.
