  • Description

The sightless men and women of Budapest's Homeros Choir - the professional singers of the Hungarian Union of the Blind - have just celebrated the group's 40th anniversary.

In recognition of their work as one of Eastern Europe's finest choral groups, Hungarian authorities have awarded them the title "Eminent Ensemble".

This sound film of Homeros at rehearsal and public performance in Budapest came to Visnews from the Hungarian cinema newsreel service.

The sound accompanying this film is of high quality. The commentary has been kept short so as to make best use of Choir's effect, and covers one brief silent sequence.
