    High ranking officers from Canada, the United States and Britain met in Ottawa to discuss the standardisation of equipment in the artillery branches of the tree countries.

    The meetings are the first of their kind since 1949. The United Kingdom delegation of fourteen officers is headed by Major General R. G. Hobbs, while the United States delegation of 47 officers is under the direction of Major General J.P. Murphy, chief of artillery of the Continental Army Command. The 28 Canadian officers are headed by Colonel H. Stearne - director of the Royal Canadian artillery. The meetings last for a week and a half.
