    PRESIDENT ALBERT-BERNARD BONGO OF GABON VISITED BRUSSELS THIS WEEK IN THE COURSE OF HIS TOUR OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, DURING WHICH HE IS HOLDING TALKS ON HIS COUNTRY'S POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY.

    YESTERDAY (FRIDAY) HE HELD CONSULTATIONS WITH M. HENRI ROCHEREAU, COMMISSIONER RESPONSIBLE FOR THIRD COUNTRY RELATIONS, AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE COMMON MARKET'S EXECUTIVE COMMISSION. THEY MET TO DISCUSS THE RENEWAL OF THE YAOUNDE CONVENTION, WHICH LINKS 18 AFRICAN AND MALAGASY STATES WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY, AND WHICH EXPIRES NEXT YEAR.

    M. BONGO IS A ACCOMPANIED ON HIS EUROPEAN TOUR BY HIS FOREIGN MINISTER, M. JEAN-REMY AYOUNE, BY HIS FINANCE MINISTER, AUGUSTIN BOUMAH, HEALTH MINISTER, JEAN-MARC EKOH, AND MINISTER OF STATE, GEORGES RAWIRI.

    HIS UNOFFICIAL FIVE-DAY VISIT TO BELGIUM BEGAN WITH A CALL ON KING BAUDOUIN AND PREMIER GASTON EYSKENS. HE CONFERRED WITH THE BELGIAN PRIME MINISTER, FOREIGN MINISTER AND DEVELOPMENT MINISTER M. RAYMOND SCHEYVEN. M. SCHEYVEN WAS ALSO VISITED BY THE OTHER GABON MINISTER WHO OUTLINED TO HIM THEIR COUNTRY'S NEED FOR EXPERT HELD IN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS AND FOR EUROPEAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ITS STUDENTS.

    M. BONGO, WHOSE TOUR BEGAN WITH A VISIT TO PARIS, WILL LEAVE ON MONDAY FOR FRANKFURT, WEST GERMANY. HE WILL ALSO VISIT ROME WHERE HE WILL BE RECEIVED BY POPE PAUL VI.
