Background: Pakistanis have done it yet again. This time shelling civilian homes in Agartala resulting in 1 death and injuries to seven. It all happened in the early hours of Second December. Shelling in the border areas continued throughout the day.
Three shells burst near the homes, one of which was a direct hit on a homes. Meanwhile, the authorities of Agartala in order to ward off civilian casualties, camped down a day long curfew on the town to keep the population indoors and away from busy bazaar and streets. Pakistani shelling of border areas had continued. Shopkeepers in Agartala had sandbagged the shop fronts to protect against bomb splinters. Occasional police patrol was seen in the town. The city was otherwise remained normal and quiet. Even I filmed the story distant sound of shelling could be heard.
