    Madame Elisabeth Domitien, the first woman Prime Minister in Africa, returned to the Central African Republic last week after a vacation in France.

    She was greeted by members of the Government she will now lead. Her appointment as Prime Minister was announced by President Jean-Bedel Bokassa while she was in France.

    Madame Domitien has been active in politics since 1958 and is Vice-President of the C.A.R.'s sole political party, the Movement for the Social Evolution in Black Africa (MESAN).
