    Tanzania's permanent representative to the Untied Nations, Salim Salim, has said in Lusaka that the Zambian and Tanzanian Presidents have agreed that force is the only possible method left for achieving black majority rule in Rhodesia.

    Mr. Salim was speaking as chairman of the Untied Nations Decolonisation Committee which arrived in Lusaka on Monday (19 April) on a four-day fact-finding mission.

    He also declared that President Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia made it clear that he was against any big power involvement in such a struggle.

    Mr. Salim said the Zamiban President supported remarks by President Julius Nyerere of Tanzania that it was essential to ensure "a united ANC (African National Council) for the struggle".
