DAHIR:"Whenever these crises reach their peak and the Abyssinian regime finds it too difficult to cope with, they always find a scapegoat on which Somalia is their favourite. Is Somalia responsible for the Seven or more liberation movements fighting against the colonialism and oppression of Addis Ababa regime. To name few of these movements, the EDU, EPPP, TLF, EPLF, ABO, AFAR, the Western Somali Liberation Front, are all determined to rid themselves of the Abyssinian colonialism and oppression. Somalia as a matter of principle support and will support any liberation Movement fighting for its rights to self-determination. The threat by the Ethiopian Ambassador that Ethiopia will attack Somalia is clear evidence of Ethiopia's unpreparedness for peace and stability in the area. However, Somalia is quite capable of defending itself and anyone who tries any aggression on its sovereignty and territorial integrity will be taught??? an unforgettable lesson.
In the wake of the Ethiopian victory in the Ogaden Desert war, guerrillas operating in Ethiopia claim to have killed more than 1250 Cuban and Ethiopian soldiers in hit and run attacks. The attacks were alleged to have taken place in the mountains and semi-desert plains of South and East Ethiopia. Ethiopia has made it clear it wants a quick end to hostilities in the area and is now more concerned with putting down the successionist revolt in the Northern Ethiopian Province of Eritrea.
