The delegates represented the U.A.R., Algeria, Bahrein, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Kuweit, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Dr. Abdul Noneim el Kaissuny, U.A.R. Central Minister of Economy attended the inauguration ceremony on behalf of President Nasser.
The conference opened only two days before the Aro-Asian Chambers Conference (beginning on Dec 8).
